If it's just a brief "burp" lasting about a second, it's the ABS pump
priming the high pressure chambers in the modulator - I believe 6kph is the
nominal speed for that to happen. If you get a sudden temp drop it might
last slightly longer and when the ABS activates you'll hear the pump run
almost continuously. BTW it's generally considered good to activate the
ABS from time to time by braking hard on a slippery surface when you get an
opportunity.
