Re: 91 Accord power antenna replacement
Hi All,
I tried replacing my friends antenna this weekend but I couldn't get
the old mast to come out. It seemed to hit a "lip" on the bottom of
the mast. I removed the whole motor, removed the broken piece inside
the casing, made sure the remaining antenna mast wasn't contacting the
motor gears, but still wasn't able to get the mast out. Anyone else
encounter this? Got any tips? I've replaced it on other cars before
but have never encounter this particular problem. Usually the mast
comes out pretty easily when the radio is turned on. Anyways, any help
would be appreciated.
Oh, I ordered a mast from ebay for ~22. really cheap compared to
previous posts i saw saying that the mast was really expensive (it is
though from the dealer).
Thanks,
Toan
