It means that the transmission computer detected a problem. You'd have to
pull the codes to be sure, but the most common problem is the Vehicle Speed
Sensor. Is your speedo always working ok? Other problems could be the
pulser, the shift solenoids, and perhaps a whole mess of other sensors and
circuits.
