No it won't.... work! Have you never heard of bartering? Petroleum
companies do it all the time.

Here in NJ we are currently paying ~$1.75/gal. for regular gas. The spot
price of benchmark crudes has been hovering close to US$40./barrel; there
are 42 USgals/barrel; it costs $$ to refine crude into gasoline and
transport it to the consumer point. You figure it out.

You know all those jobs which are migrating through outsourcing to
India?... all the electronics manufacturing jobs being shuttled to China?
What do you think the Indian, Chinese, et.al. workers are going to do with
the money they earn? Do you know what the most coveted item is on any
world citizen's wish list following food, clothing & shelter? Uhh, it's
gonna get worse.

If you have a problem with your govt.'s fuel taxes take it up with them.
Specifically, you might suggest that you resent paying a tax which the
govt. then turns around and uses to finance operations and propaganda
against you as a motorist.
