|I am 6'8" tall and I drive a 95 Civic coupe (and a 2003 Civic Coupe) --
|mainly because the interior is "open" and has decent leg-room.
|
|I wouldn't mind a little more leg room however... so I would like to know
|what other tall Civic drivers have done with theirs to maximize driver
|comfort... customization?
On other cars I have removed the drivers seat and remounted it on the tracks a
bit further back. 2 inches makes a big difference. Often you can just drill
new holes and reattach, others require minor welding. Take it to a trim shop if
you don't feel like tackling this.
Another good possibility is aftermarket seats. The rice rocket phenomena has
brought a lot of aftermarket seats. You order the adjustable bases for your
application. These almost always have much more latitude (longitude?) in
mounting. You can get some classy seats with matching upholstery for reasonable
money if you do so me shopping.
Be sure you can still reach the steering wheel. Sometimes you get the seat
all the way back so you can stretch your legs, but you have to sit more upfright
to reach the wheel, then your head is on the headliner
