I have a 91 STD hatchback civic with zero frills, no auto/power anything, no
ciggarette lighter not even a glove box or a trunk light.
There is a 300ma drain on battery when the drivers side door is open and
keys are in my hand. (none with passenger side door). No, the interior light
is not on and the door switch has been checked to work fine too.
There is a clicking sound from the drivers door when the battery is
disconnected/reconnected. (other door doesnt do it, but does make the click
when it is moved beyond a certain point in its closing-arc)
I noticed some kind of switch that is in the door with wires leading to it
that makes the noise. Its in a transparent plastic box which says "do not
remove" and seems like part of the seatbelt mechanism.
Now what could this switch/relay be for? I thought seatbelts worked without
power, using pendulum or intertia retractors. (anyone know which one it is
for my car?) Plus I dont have power-anything in the door and I doubt that my
super *plain* car has a pretensioner.
Help?
