You do NOT need to remove the air box.

The white-grey part is the connector. It IS very tight. You need to get the
frontmost part of the latch (closest to the headlight) to lift up to clear
the tab at the top of the bulb housing. Only then will the connector wiggle
off the bulb housing.

The black three-sided ring is then turned counter-clockwise a third of a
turn then pulled off. The bulb's O-ring will be a tight fit and will
require some wiggling to get loose.

A bit of silicone grease will help the new bulb's O-ring slip home more
easily.

Don't touch the glass of the new bulb!
