Default Re: 98 Civic keyless entry problem

I was able to solve my problem. The keyless entry stopped working due to a low voltage from the car battery. When this happens, the unit must be reset. This can only be done if you still have the factory radio installed. The procedure is as follows. Put the key in the ignition, turn the ignition all the way on without starting the car. There is a button(does not look like a button) on the factory radio between the AM/FM button and the TAPE/CD button. It is a skinny /long bar. Press and hold the skinny button until you hear the door locks cycle one time do not release the button. Then press and hold the keyless remote lock button until you hear the locks cycle one more time. You can then release the skinny button and you are good to go. If you have more than one remote, you must do this for each one. If you mess up during the process, you must turn the ingition off and start over. Good Luck!
