That's exactly right. I was very interested in these details as well since
I owned 1998 Accord. All subsequent "top stolen" car type lists that did
happen to have year information showed late 80's and early 90's Accords as
most stolen. Camry is the same.

Aside from simple joy rides, vehicle theft happens for spare parts, which
becomes sparse and hard to find for old cars, thus salvaging old parts
becomes fairly profitable.

It'd be interesting to see what happens to the sixth generation Accords in
10 years.
