Re: 2001 Civic Wheel Noise
Hey! Someone with the same problem as me!!
2001 Civic - all four tires are now brand new - PROBLEM PERSISTS. In fact,
sounds like it's getting slowly louder.
It's a whining/low hum sort of irritating noise 50km/h and up. I actually
had the garage replace the tires (none of the ones anyone else has
mentioned) because they couldn't figure it out either, so gave me a warranty
replacement. No change. Sounds like it's coming from front right-ish area.
Checked the brakes, rotors, replaced the tires... I had a thought maybe it
was a loose plastic piece - maybe a mudguard or something which would begin
to vibrate when air hit it fast enough, but the sound is too consistant in
volume and tone I think to be that. I'm thinking engine/drivetrain now?
Hope someone has better luck figuring this out - my wife is getting pretty
pissed about it!
