I've also had this problem with my 2003 RSX, among others that have
recently cost me $2000. The dealer told me it was because either I
had something on the seat (ie: sunglasses, cell phone), or because the
passenger was moving around too much. They claimed there was nothing
wrong with the sensor. However, after spending $2000 on work that
should bave been warranty...they did discover a problem and replaced a
part. Unknown yet if the problem is fixed as I just got the car back
today. Anybody have any problems with the transmission? Mine grinds
when shifting from 1st to 2nd if I don't hold the clutch in for at
least a second, and it also threw me out of 4th gear twice on rapid
acceleration, overrevving the engine and damaging every valve (hence
the $2000 repair). onda claimed it I downshifted, and wouldn't cover
the cost of repair.
