Q&A on allignment and new Yoko as430 '93 civic Si
just had NTB install a 4-set of Yoko AS430 (= Yoko Avid H4S ) and an
alignment on '93 civic Si
the tires replaced a set of "Dunlop A2 Sport". Yokos feel softer in the
turns than the A2s and no squeal like on the A2s, they do stick and are
comfortable and quiet on highway and rain performance seems a little better
so i like then for that but the A2s definatle seemed sportier.
Any one else have similar experience with tire change (yoko) ?
Alignment was supposedly off (toe in was out of factory spec -- more on left
than right) i believe this , the steering was stiff and pulling left and
more when brakes applied so they adjusted to almost exact middle of of
factory spec range but i noticed something odd when driving... the steering
is very sensitive and drifts all over (very slightly) so constant slight
compensation seems required to keep straight track, wind does not have the
same affect as it did, if that info helps
Any ideas on what alignment should be to get a better/stiffer/less sensitive
steering track ?
thanks for any usefull replies
