Is it a digital with a fluorescent display?
Those clocks 'do' on occasion go bad, but not often...
I'd check it's fuse, ground/s and associated wiring first for sure. It
would really cheese you off to hunt down and buy a new clock just end up
with the same problem. They aren't cheap.
If memory serves me right, that clock has 4 leads going to it... one is
hot all times and powers the actual timekeeping part of the clock
proper. A second is hot only with the key is on and lights the clocks
display. The third is hot when the headlights are on, and dims the
display when energized. The fourth is a ground.
