UGH! your rust climate is just a nightmare. you should come down here
and do some junk yard surfing some time tegger. it'll blow you away to
see the condition of some cars. worn out? sure. rusted? nope!

regarding wrenches, i use 6-sided flank drive sockets for that job.
work just fine.
