The Integra GSR came to america in 1992, with the B17A1 VTEC motor pushing out 160HP with a 8,000 RPM redline. This 1st generation GSR was available in 92 and 93 and is the rarest model of all GSR's. Not very many were brought to america and the B17 motor is rare. It is also I believe the only GSR without airbags.
The 3rd Generation GSR came out in 1994 for America. It offered the new B18C1 VTEC motor which is on of Honda's most famous motors. It pushes out 170HP from the 1.8Liter 4 cylinder. The 94-97 GSR's were the same.
The 1998 Integra was still considered a 3rd generation, but recieved some updates. They basically just updated the looks instead of making a whole new model. The headlights and taillights along with the bumpers were new for 98 on all Integras, including the GSR. The only other differences for the GSR were leather seats and different wheels. This model made it thru 2001 when it was then replaced in 2002 with the RSX.
I personally like the 3rd generation GSR's the best. But I also like the 92 because it was the 1st GSR in america and it is very rare.
