wow you have a euro accord. i always wanted to see one. anyway technically its a technology that honda developed first that uses the intake valves. it was first on the dual overhead cam engines where one is mainly closed while you drive at normal speeds so torque and gas mileage is increased. based on what engine you have(regardless if its doch or sohc, turbo or supercharged) when you hit a certain rpm(mainly 5000) both valves open up so you get a increase in power.































Yours should have it, and all the main companies now use it. as time went one, the new vtec i is used to also save alot more gas than compared to before. if you want a more technical view and actually see it at work then go here.
