Okay... listen... The 03 accord v6 5spd tranny consists of 12 clutches... I owned one of these had the same problem as well... lets try some stuffz..
1. start your car and punch the gas.. if the limiter kicks in at 5000 in P AND N positon... its NOT an ELECTRICAL problem... (most likely... )
2. Go on an open road and place the car in the "1" or "L" position... punch the gas and see if it can get to the redline without slipping...
3.if it makes it without slipping.. Than punch the car and see if it automatically shifts once hitting the redline (your doing this in "1" or "L" position... IF it SHIFTS AUTOMATICALLY than its still most likely NOT an ELECTRICAL problem...
3. if steps 1 and 2 go smoothly.. Punch the car to about 6000 rpm and move the selector to the "2" position... if the tranny doesn't slip than its most likely not the 2nd gear clutch pack !
4. continue on and try the same procedure as in step 3 but shift from "2" at around 5500 (optimal shift point for 3rd gr) into "D3" position... IF no SLIP its NOT the 3rd gear clutch pack...
Email me at wongmylesa@tmail.com .... tell me what happened during these tests.. i will speak with you further from there ! have a great day
