from what i have heard from al my buddies (most drive hondas) the under drive pulley kit will give you a very good power gain. there shouldnt be any risks. just keep an eye on your fluids (oil and coolant). a friend of mine has one in his 94 civic hatch, which still has the stock motor, and he got a 20 horse power gain. for a stock D series engine, that car is pretty quick.
