You should not smell gasoline unless the cap on the filler spout is open. Check under your hood for any leaks, as this can be a dangerous condition.
If you can determine the location of the leak (most likely at the fuel pump on the gas tank or in the injector manifold, and are handy with tools you might attempt to fix this. Be very careful as the manifold pressures are very high and you must use proper care to avoid spilling or sudden depressurization, the Maintenance manual will have a procedure for this.
If you are at all uncomfortable with working on the gas system, take it to a qualified mechanic.
