three pistons or three cylinders ??? common problem on these older engines is that the valves do not get adjusted and it will burn the exhaust valve in that cylinder. if this is the case you would need a valve job($800.00) you would need to do a compression test to find this out. honda tech 12yrs. if car has alot of miles you might consider getting a newer car.
