Default 1995 Accord REV's high

Hi,
I have a 1995 Honda accord, 2.2L auto.

In hot weather , and even more so in stop and go traffic, the idling increases to RPM's as high as 3000rpms when put in park or neutral. Even with your foot on the brake and in drive, the RPMS will be in the 1500's.

The car does this as i said, mostly in hot weather. In the winter its fine. But it really hates when its warm and in stop and go traffic. I read online in a few spots that it could be the throttle cable sticking, but when the car was acting up I checked the cable with the vehicle off and it was slack.

Any help? Thoughts? hints? tips?

Thanks,
