We swerved toward me.

I walk down this road almost every day, and sometimes at night. He has not
dared to do it again. I don't know where you live, but around here, car
drivers are not allowed to threaten pedestrians like that.

Yes, in law. He threatened me verbally, and then came back and threatened
me physically by swerving at me at high speed. That is assault, and I am
entitled to react. He got a handful of gravel thrown at his car and he
left. He used a 2,000 lb automobile to threaten me because I dared to walk
on the side of the road. I used a few ounces of gravel to ward him off.
Which do you figure used excessive force?

I don't know where you got the impression that I was standing in the middle
of the road when I threw it.

I guarantee you that he did not repeat that stunt.
