Default 93 Accord starting issues

I have a 93 Accord that is hard to start first thing in the morning, and after work if I haven't started it to go to lunch. I bought this car two years ago dead in my Brother in Laws drive way. Got it home and checked it out-bad distributor. Replaced the distributor, cap, and wires as well as set the valves and new plugs. It ran good for several months, and then started needing to be cranked longer and longer to start. The fuel pump would run as it should when cranked, and spark looked good. The drill became turn the key and let it crank a few times, repeat three or four times and it would finally sputter a little. A few more cranks and it would run for a second, and by the sixth or seventh time it would start and run rough, and finally smooth out and run good. It would start fine the rest of the day if I didn't let it sit for more than four or five hours. Occasionally it would refuse to start, so I tried a small squirt of fuel in the intake pipe. It would start instantly and run, although rough sometimes for a minute. Finally one day the battery died dead as a hammer. Installed a new battery and majically all my starting problems went away. Flash forward six months and the hard starting is begining again ,just like last time. Has anyone had a similar experience or have any advice?

Thanks
