Well the MSRP on a 2004 Civic DX-G is $17,700. The dealer is knocking off
$2700 which amounts to 15% off for a 2 year old car. Personally, I'd go
with the piece of mind of the new car but if money's tight, the used one
isn't that bad. It's not a rip off, but I wouldn't call it a deal either.
I'd offer them $14,500 and ask them to put new Michelin tires on as part of
the deal (the dealer get these cheap). Besides, at 38,000 KM, the factory
tires will need replacing soon anyway, not to mention they're Firestones and
suck big time. Of course, only you can judge how far you can push in the
negitiations.
