Default Re: Please Help - Honda CRV - Odometer stopped working

Hi again,
I pushed the reset button a couple of times but no luck. The dashboard has mechanical odometer counters, not electronic.

"...Then mechanical ones can hold up the odometer, push your key in the slot below the cluster to reset it.." <-- I could not find that. I removed the entire dashboard and got to the back of the cluster where the printed circuitboard is located but the there is no slot below the cluster.

There's like a long metal pin that is connected to the bottom of the cluster and on the top of the metal pin is the plastic pointer that shows the speed of the vehicle. How can I remove that to get to the odometer mechanical base mounted at the bottom of the cluster? There's no way of accessing it from outside (e.g. from the printed circuit)

Do I need to do anything else, or have I misunderstood the point?
Many thanks again for your help!
