If you don't already have a honda civic service manual for reference, buy or borrow one. Also, buy/borrow a jack and jackstands to lift the right side of your front wheel across a flat surface. Make sure you have your emergency brakes on with a wooden block on the back wheel for added safety.Remove the wheel so you could get better access to the transmission drain plug.Place an oil pan underneath the transmission directly under the transmission drain plug.Use a ratchet wrench to unscrew the drain plug. Use an extension and a breaker bar if necessary.Wait 'til all the transmission oil fluid has drained. Then screw back the drain plug. Tighten the drain plug to the correct torque (ft.lbs) using a torque ratchet wrench.Loosen the filler plug located in the upper area of the transmission. Use a funnel with a small hose to direct oil (i use same oil for engine) into the filler hole. 1.8 quarts might be needed but double check your service manual.Tighten the filler plug and torque it to specifications. Return the wheel (torque each lug nut for your wheel to 80 lbs.ft.)and drop your car...now you've just saved a lot of money for yourself!Good luck!
