The maintenance req light flashes around 6000 miles and stays on at around 7500 miles as a reminder to change the oil/etc. If you have a scheduled oil changing routine though then you can reset it, since it is just a reminder and NOT an indication that something is wrong. When you get your oil changed though, they should reset the light as well. If not, it will come on just like you're seeing nowHow the reset the light:1. Turn off the engine.2. Press and hold the select and reset buttons on the instument panel, then turn the ignition switch ON (II)3. Hold the buttons for approx. ten seconds until the indicator resets.
