Typically car stereos get battery voltage through two wires, one "always
on" from the battery and one switched through the ignition. On my Civic
(94) the "always on" wire for the factory stereo is fused in the
under-hood fusebox, not the under-dash fusebox. Did you check the fuses
in the under-hood fusebox?
