I had an 89 MR2 with a bad 2nd gear synchro, drove it that way for 2 1/2
years. Upshifts aren't too bad as long as you are a reasonable driver, and
for downshifts - well, learn to double-clutch.

Cars didn't always have
synchros, you know.
