dependson what kind of chip your looking at. if your looking at the ones on ebay for 15 bucks there pointless all it does is trick you cars intake air temp sensor to make it think your car is running colder than what it is. now if you looking at something like hondata s300 then yes it can make a huge differance if you get a good tune.
