there is no such thing as a 1980 integra. Acura didn't come into being until 1986. do you mean 1990?not sure if you have an automatic or a manual transmission. I had a 1990 AT integra GS and when I was at about 120,000 miles, my car started to do that. It would nearly red-line until I hit about 40 miles per hour. The folks at local car repair shop and the local acura dealership informed me that it was the beginnings of transmission problem. I would at some point have to get the transmission replaced. best advice either take to acura or a trusted mechanic.
