trannies marry to the engine...if you don't have the correct engine in the first place, you can't get a std tranny. So you have to swap out BOTH the engine and the tranny if you want a std...it will cost more than the car is worth.If you need a new tranny, then you've overworked the one you have. Honda trannies do not go bad on their own, they have lots of help. ( you been shifting an auto ??? they aren't made to do that...)If you want a std tranny car, BUY one...don't get an auto and expect it to work like a std and then when it goes bad to get a std to swap. It doesn't work like that...Get the tranny that GOES with the car, the auto. (you'll be saving yourself a lot of time, trouble and money...and don't distroy this one.)
