Hello all,

I just changed out my factory CD player in the 2001 Honda Civic EX with a Dual XHD6420 head unit.

After I put everything back together and reattached all the cables to the appropriate spots, the backlights on the climate control guages (the three down the left side such as the temperature control, area where the air should go to, and the blower control) no longer work.

The backlights at the bottom for the rear defrost, A/C, and cabin circulation buttons are still lit up without any problems - just the three controls on the left side.

I was wondering if this had anything to do with the stereo change because the backlights worked perfectly until the car stereo was taken out. I don't understand how they would be related, but I am not understanding how this could have happened. Surely Honda doesn't have the backlights to the controls hooked to the factory CD stereos - otherwise I am sure there would be plenty of other hits on Google for this problem.
