A car never reaches the speedometer limit.I have a 1996 Mazda Protege DX with 1.5L 92HP engine and a 140mph speedometer. There is no way my car can reach that. I tested the top seed on a race track. I couldn't get passed 105mph. The Mazda Protege weighs about the same as the Acura Integra, but the Integra has more power. The Integra's top speed should be around 120mph. I think it has 110-140HP.The 2006 200HP Volkswagen GTI's top speed is 146mph, but the speedometer goes up to 160mph.The 2007 300HP Ford Mustang GT Top speed is also 146mph, because it is a heavy car and it is not aerodynamic because of its boxy design.
