Keeping is in good condition requires controlled driving. Forcing the car to perform above normal wear on a consistent basis will shorten its life. Take it in for regular tune-us, and replace things as they are worn or slightly before.But if you want more power, you'll need one with a bigger stock engine. Maybe when it comes time for you to get a new car, moving up to an Accord or even an Acura would gve you the added power with less strain on the engine.
