I saw this awesome thing on some rice burner show once (you can use just about any paint) You paint the car, with say, metallic spray paint, and while it's still wet, drape plastic food wrap over it and then lift it off. Try it on a sheet of glass or somethig first to see what it looks like, makes a really cool effect.
