i don't agree with either of them...depending on why it was totaled out and the source the car is coming from...could have been in a wreck, stolen or flood damaged....just depends on why it was totaled in the first place.... i would stay away from flood damaged cars... they will cause more problems than they are worth with electrical problems etc. just find out first before buying what happened to it and what was done to repair the damages... as for the trans you could try flushing it... maybe take it to a trans shop and see what they think before dropping the big money into it... most will diagnose it for free or a minimumal charge..... best of luck
