I can understand you wanting to add this to your vehicle BUT at the risk of sounding like a "broken record" - ANY MODIFICATIONS you make to your vehicle have the Possibility of VOIDING your warranty. If Honda can possibly link your modifications to a problem they have absolutely no problem voiding it. If for some reason you delvelop a problem with your car while it is still under warranty any modifications are found and they can show a link between the two - You will be footing the entire bill out of your own pocket - after all you will have already signed the work order. While there is always the possibility that Honda will let it slide - is it a risk you are willing to take? Any modifications that are done at a Honda dealership will be usually honored by the Honda warranty. Take it elsewhere or do them yourself then the reality is that they can void the warranty. You might try talking to one of the service writers or techs at your local dealership first for some advice. If the tech or service writer agrees with your modifications and you have the job done there and the few extra dollars it might cost you will outweigh the cost if something happens to your car and you end up paying it out of your own pocket versus warranty. We see customers frequently who have gone ahead and modified their vehicles and while many get away with them there are always those who are very upset because the repairs won't be covered through their warranty.I dislike having to be so harsh when handing out this advice but experience has taught me that many of our customers are glad someone informed them forehand. After all you've spend good money on your vehicle and expect it to last. They purchase with confidence knowing that the warranty is there if it's needed - which it will be if you do your part.Good luck.
