If you keep up on ALL the maintenance (Timing belt, transmission fluid changes, brakes, valve adjustments, in addition to engine oil/filter, and air filter), you can reasonably get 300k+ miles from it.I have an '89 Prelude 2.0Si with 196k on it and it's still going strong and getting 28.something per gallon. However, in the last two years, it's had replaced/serviced: Timing belt, clutch, brakes, tires, transmission fluid, oil & filter changes every 3k miles (w/ a good name brand oil), tires rotated every other oil change, new plugs and wires, brake fluid flushed, and regular injector cleaners in the gas. Sounds like a lot, but other than the timing belt, clutch and tires, I've done the rest myself - big $ saver if you are able.So, it really depends on you as to how long your Prelude will live.
