That's pure bullshit!!
Dealers do tint jobs on cars all the time as "spiffs" to add to their profit
line. Most salesmen don't know jack shit about the car they sell or the
warranties that come with it.
Go get your tint job with no worry, except having a good professional do the
job so it doesn't bubble later on.
