Thread: Is the intake manifold the same thing as the exhaust manifold?

They are two completely different parts. The intake manifold is where the engine draws in air and fuel. The exhaust manifold is where the hot exhaust gasses from each cylinder combine into one exhaust pipe.RickI'm a retired ASE Master/L-1 Technician.
