You are going to get an old TL for this price, perhaps 2005 at best. The problem I have with picking a TL right now is that the body shape changes next year. This means your shiny new car, will look clunky and old inside of 12 months, something that will have a horrible impact on residuals.Personally, if I were looking in that price range I'd consider a Nissan Altima or the new Honda Accord. For your budget you could buy new in either of those cars, so you would have a full brand new warranty and not be dealing with a used car.As for other reasons I didn't like the TL (I had mine for two years), I found the ride boring, than handling unremarkable, the traction poor, and it had an annoying rattle they could never fix. I switched to a BMW which was an infinitely better driving experience. Maybe you should take a look at a certified pre-owned 3 series too when you are car shopping. You'll recognise the improved driving experience almost right away.
