if all your after is the look of lowered, just cut the factory springs. although that is a horrible idea as far as ride quality and life of shock absorbers. The better way would be go on eBay and pick up a set of lowering springs for your make and model. I payed a 120 dollars shipped for mine. Then if you have a shop install them they should do it for under 200 dollars. Then depending on how many inches you lower your ride you may or may not have to install a camber correction kit. This kit will realign your camber so you don't burn out tires quick. when lowering a car you tend to burn out the insides of your tires quick. the kit runs about a 100 dollars plus about a 100 dollars to install the kit. Then you will have to get an alignment which runs about 50 dollars. So if you want to do it right its going to cost you around 600 dollars. But since I'm sure you don't have that kind of cash just sitting around burning a whole in your pocket you should just chop the springs and be able to get the look you want for around 100 dollars
