Alright, the 2001 Civic (7th Generation) has a newer engine which Honda didnt use before. The D17 is hard to get power out of with the basic bolt ons (intake, header, exhaust) and more than likely you will feel the car get slower. The best results that I got from my ride was suspension upgrades. Your car will handle better, corner faster, and you can enjoy it every single time you drive. As for power, there are a few turbo kits for it but you have to find the few tuner companies that offer it. The car can make good numbers off of it. Personally, I am waiting for the K20 engines to come down in price (RSX engines) since those are good tuning engines and they swap easily into the 7th gen civic. Check out this site, great resource for the civics.
