u can buy sheets of tinted film on ebay. they are cheep. proboably no more than $20. all u have to do is lay it on the lense of the light housing and use a razor blade to cut it out... presto .. you have tinted lights... dont bother taking apart your housings.. thats just a huge waste of time, and if u screw anything up ur onnahave to buy a whole new housing.... its not worth the risk
