The original carb is a three barrel. You NEED the third barrel for the cvcc
valves. A two barrel carb will likely never work correctly on this engine.
Probably your best option would be to pick up an original carb from a wrecking
yard (or someone parting out this model and year) and get it rebuilt. You could
also try calling around to some of the independent Honda shops in your area as
some shops keep old parts laying around. Note that you'll also need the
original carb base and any other missing parts.

You may be able to use a carb from an '80 but it's been too long since I've
dealt with these so I don't remember the exact differences.
