Cold air intake is better for performance. After changing filter for past 7 years, I have to say it is real pain in the butt to lower the bumper to clean the filter. The alternative isn't that great either, you would have to take wheel out and take the wheel guard out (I stopped doing this way because the plastic clips started to break off after years of use)
