I own a shop, and a starter looks like this; It is about 8-10 inches long, and about 4-6 inches in diameter. It is located low, and on the back side of the engine where the transmission bolts to the engine. If you follow your (+) battery cable from the battery down, you will see the cable goes to the starter. They are sometimes very hard to get to, and not much room to work in, so changing them can be difficult even for the experienced mechanic. You can always go to a parts store, and have them pull a starter for your car, and this way you will know for sure what it looks like.Glad to help out, Good Luck!!!
