The toyota corolla has been recalled 34 times since 1990 to present the honda civic has been recalled 160 times since 1990 to present.I would say toyota has definetly put more effort into getting it right than honda.Also honda has the worst recall avg and the two worst recalled cars the accord has been recalled 184 times.The big three have lower recall averages than honda.The big three also make way more models Chrysler by itself makes more different models than toyota and honda combined.Check this out http://www.mycarstats.com/auto_recalls/auto_recalls.asp
