CIVIC!!!! i just got a brand new civic totally better than the 3000GT. The Mitsubishi will brake dwon on you so much that fuel will be the least of your worries. the civic gets 30/40mpg in a 140 horse power with an i-vtec SOHC 1.8 liter engine. CIVIC it is built way better and will last you more then 10 years if you change the oil and do basic engine mainnence.
